If you are planning on making an outdoor living space even more special, you might want to think about adding an outdoor garden fountain. There are so many to select from that picking the right one might be difficult. There are a few things that you need to think about, including size. For example, a massive fountain might not work in some areas where a small fountain might get lost in other areas.
You should think about a few things when shopping for an outdoor garden fountain. The first is budget. While you might have visions of installing a massive fountain in the middle of your garden, you need to keep in mind that a massive fountain can be a massive investment. Setting a budget can help you narrow down your choices. Just remember to include shipping and handling in the price if you are buying your outdoor garden fountain online or will be having it shipped to you.
You should think about how much space you will have to place your outdoor garden fountain in. A massive fountain can look beautiful but it might look crowded if you have a small yard. A small fountain might get lost in a massive expanse of garden and so a massive space might call for a larger or more imposing fountain to look properly proportioned.
Small spaces can be a perfect place for an outdoor garden fountain. There are some small fountains which can sound as impressive and peaceful as a massive fountain. If you don’t have a lot of floor space to place your fountain on, you might be interested in an outdoor garden fountain that fits on a surround or on a stand. These can be a great way to get the sound of a massive fountain without taking up a lot of space.
You might want to think about the climate you live in when you are choosing your outdoor garden fountain. A very cold climate might cause alteration to a massive fountain because it might be difficult to get all of the water out when winterizing it. A smaller fountain might be a superior choice since you can get at the pump and pipes or even bring the fountain indoors, an option which is not doable with a massive fountain.
Style is important too. An outdoor garden fountain might come in a variety of different styles from formal and traditional to freeform and modern. If you want a formal massive fountain, there are many models available. You should decide how tall you want your fountain to be and whether you are interested in topping a massive fountain with a statue or other more sculptural element such as a vase or obelisk.
If you are not a fan of formal fountains, you can find a massive fountain or other outdoor garden fountain that has a more natural appearance. Whether you like the intent of a waterfall or a pile of stones with water flowing over them, you can also find an outdoor fountain that looks like this as well. There are other fountains in smaller sizes with a more natural appearance.

How to Landscape on a Small Budget
Plan carefully to make the most of your landscape dollars. Sketch out your yard and include the contours of your home along with any patios or decks, walkways, driveways, paths, flower beds and retaining walls.
Instructions
1
Use gravel, concrete pavers or poured concrete for the most affordable paths and walkways. If using gravel, choose small pieces of angular gravel (labeled “1/4-inch minus”) for the least amount of slippage underfoot.
2
Furnish existing decks and patios with affordable seating and occasional tables. Check huge box stores, thrift stores and yard sales. Deals can often be found at summer’s end.
3
Add a do-it-yourself water feature. Liners, pumps and fountains are acquirable at home improvement stores and can easily be added to your yard, deck or patio.
4
Sharpen lawn mower blades approximately each six weeks during summer months so the lawn stays healthy. Use thin layers of chopped-up grass clippings and some slow-release nitrogen to fertilize the lawn and help keep it green.
5
Outline new flower beds with a garden hose to achieve contemporary curved shapes, and then install edging to define the beds and keep the lawn from encroaching. Enrich the soil properly with compost and other add-ins according to the advice of nursery organisation or the cooperative extension office in your area. Mulch with organic materials such as pine needles or shredded leaves, and check with your city to see if it will wage free mulch. You can apply these over layers of newspaper for extra weed control.
