I will show you how to begin your garden indoors and how to prepare your outside area for planting.
I like to use plastic bottles to start my indoor garden. I use coke bottles, water bottles, and many other sizes of bottles for indoor planting and for a drip system once the weather allows me to transplant my garden outside. When you plant outside insure the overnight temperature is above 32 degrees Fahrenheit and there is little chance of frost.
Lets start with preparing the soil outside in a sunny location. Mark off where you want to plant your garden and prepare the soil. See picture.
Depending on the size of your garden you can prepare the soil by hand or by renting a soil tiller. In my case since the garden will be 20′X 11′ I chose to till the soil by hand.
Once the soil is prepared I added peat moss and steer manure and mixed the soil again insuring that I dug down at least six inches to get a good mixture of soil and nutrients. You should test the soil before you mix the peat moss and steer manure to insure your not missing other nutrients which may need to be added to your soil for even better gardens.
The next step is to decide how you want to plant your garden with rows of raised earth or keep the grand flat and plant. I choose rows for my garden. See picture.
As you can see I also put up a three foot fence around the garden to keep animals out.
The outside area is ready to start planting. Carefully read the instructions for each type of vegetable you want to plant outdoors to insure you are ready to transplant once all frost is gone.

I like to use organic potting soil to start the indoor vegetables.
Plant your seeds into each pot and insure you label each pot of what type of vegetable.
In a few days depending on the vegetable you plated in each pot you will be ready to transplant outdoors.
The last step is to plant your vegetables outdoors. Insure you read the instructions for each vegetable and plant accordingly. Once planted I add the other half of water bottles for a drip type of system for each vegetable. make sure you drill four holes in each lid and add some small rocks in the water bottles to prevent clogging for your drip system.
I planted onions in part of this row and gave each plant a water bottle for water.
